the warwick foundation’s 2012 high heel race
Did you know that cancer is the leading killer of young adults?
On Sunday 29th April, The Warwick Foundation, the first and largest charitable organisation in Australia that focuses on supporting young adults on their cancer journey, will host their Annual High Heel Race at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse.
The Foundation urges you to help raise money and awareness by racing 100 metres in high heels (!). Registration is only $25 for individuals or $200 for a team of 10. Spectators entry via a gold coin donation.
All money raised on the day goes towards funding a number of support programs based on the concept of physical, social and mental wellbeing. And not only will you be contributing to a good cause, this will be an official Guinness World Record Attempt. (I don’t know about you, but the very thought of potentially breaking a world record makes me giddy.)
Prizes will be awarded to the highest fundraisers, race winners and Fashions on the Field winners, with the pièce de résistance a signed pair of Danni Minogue’s shoes!
Entertainment on the day includes a Fashion on the Fields competition, professional make-up touch ups, an express nail bar and a variety of children’s activities. Celebrity MCs include Rhys Uhlich and Natalie Hunter.
The Warwick Foundation’s High Heel Race will take place at Flemington Racecourse on Sunday 29th April, 10am-1pm. For more information, visit www.thewarwickfoundation.org.au
