Susanne said, “I really liked the music reviews. At the moment I’m writing a young adult novel about youth culture and music, and I was reading all the…

The day was a great success. It was great to see such a variety of people turn up. Entertainment ranged from artists to activists, including speakers, poets, tribal music and dancing and an all girl hip-hop collective called ladies love hip-hop. There was also a charity art auction, with proceeds going to the tsunami appeal….

It’s raining on my parade

Melbourne weather is being obnoxious as always. I’m hoping it dies down a bit in time for the International Women’s Day fair tomorrow. I really hope it all goes to plan as I’m looking forward to helping out with the stall and also looking meeting some of the faces behind the ‘pretty ugly’ zine. (I…

As a new addition to the lip team and possibly the only correspondent in Melbourne, I think I should formally introduce myself. I’m Brianna (or Bree to any one who can’t be bothered with all three syllables). I’m an 18-year-old Journalism student starting my first year at Monash Uni in two weeks. I am a…
