Baffi & Mo’s

94 Redfern St, Redfern – Map

3.75 ‘Go the mo.’

Well hello Baffi & Mo’s. I’ve been meaning to come and visit you – I hear good things about your potato stacks and home-made jam and chutneys. Despite being a big group, we managed to secure a great spot at your huge communal table – love the industrial metal surface and bench seating, not to mention your unique menu holders made from kitchen utensils. Fun! Your coffees come in giant size and so do your meals, big and fresh. I had your corn and pea fritters – not bad – and I could tell everyone else’s meals were top notch too. You have a friendly owner, open fresh space, minimalistic industrial furnishings and a lavish menu. Pity about the knife – the chunky sourdough could’ve done with it. But all in all, we liked you. And that waitress who had a mo necklace. Tash-tastic.

Coffee: 4 Huge mug size coffees. With polka-dots. What more could you ask for? Maybe some chocolate sprinkles.
Eggs: 4 Gooey goodness.
Toast: 4 Large variety, including gluten free options.
Knife: 3 Tasteful, but not exactly useful.
Ambience: 4 Open, fresh, industrial feel with nice owners and communal dining. I liked it.
Price: 3.5
$10 for eggs on any toast and large portion sizes.

Hello Sydney Cafes. Katherine Riches wants the creamiest coffee, the gooiest eggs and the crustiest toast. Do you have them for her? She’s also looking for sharp cutlery. What kind of cafe serves thick sourdough toast with a butter knife? She does not like these cafes. They make eating hard work. Her brekkie quest aims to seek out all you groovy cafes from you cruel and daggy ones. P.S. She’ll also be scoring your elements from 1 to 5.
