That time of year

So it’s that time of year again. I’ve always loved Christmas and New Year, mainly because I come from a massive family and it’s an excuse to get together with good company, eat too much food and give away pressies you’ve spend hours trying to find. When I was little, Christmas came around once a year – the day flew by but the rest of the year was such a drag.
It must be a sign of my ageing because this year it’s come around so damn quickly. I told one of my grandmother’s it was Christmas next weekend and she asked me if I was joking. It seems as if Christmas came from no where. Suddenly there are Christmas carols playing everywhere, parties to go to, lights flashing, a tree to decorate and money to be spent, but I’ve been left feeling like it was only been a short while since I did it last.
Needless to say this means I have left all my shopping to the last minute. So I’m sitting here writing this, procrastinating, because today I have to go and start my shopping. And I fear there are thousands just like me, which means the closest I will get to the shops this week is driving relentlessly around the carapark.
Wish me luck.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone.
Does anyone know a good shop where I can buy some time?

  1. I promised myself this year that I would do all my xmas shopping online, but I left it too late to ensure everything would be delivered on time, so now also have to face the crazed crowded mall. Eeek!

    Merry xmas Rach

    and

    Merry xmas lipsters!
