in brief: pastor bans women from wearing underwear in church

A Kenyan pastor has banned women from wearing underwear in his church, as he believes it prohibits them from feeling close to god.

According to the Kenyan Post, Reverend Njohi said that women attending his services are forbidden from wearing bras and underwear.

He believes that those attending The Lord’s Propeller Redemption Church in Nairobi should be ‘free in body and spirit’ if they want to receive Christ.

And this isn’t optional. According to Metro:

‘The pastor added that there would be grave consequences if his female members did not adhere to the new rule, which was reportedly adhered to as most women are said to have attended the next service with no underwear.’

Njohi has told mothers to check that their daughters are adhering to the rule and not wearing underwear so they can be close to Jesus.

There is no need for men to do anything similar. Apparently it’s only female underwear that prohibits a connection with god.
