film: moonlight cinema

Moonlight Cinema is back! Held every Summer from December through to March in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, a film under the stars is guaranteed to be an enjoyable experience for the whole family.

This season kicked off with a preview of the critically acclaimed film The Descendants, starring, co-written and directed by George Clooney. You can also catch preview screenings for the drama Arrietty, Carnage, The Darkest Hour, the new Clint Eastwood film J. Edgar and the documentary Buck.

There are a few Australian titles not to be missed including the animated hit Happy Feet 2, the box office success Red Dog and Stephan Elliot’s new film A Few Best Men starring Olivia Newton John.

But don’t worry – there will also be some blockbuster action with the fourth instalment in the Mission Impossible series, the latest Sherlock Holmes film and the popular Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.

Also keep your eyes out for the entertaining ‘sing a long’ nights and re-hash the past with some cult hits such as Ferris Bueller’s Day Off!

For those who are looking for something romantic to do on Valentine’s Day, you can snuggle up with your loved one whilst watching the all-time classic Breakfast at Tiffanys. There’s also the option to purchase a Gold Grass ticket ($33) which includes entry, a glass of wine and a reserved beanbag in a premium viewing location.
